Get Involved
The board takes care of the HOA’s business. Most everything else, like events and welcoming new neighbors, depends on volunteers. Here’s where we could use help.
Where We Need Help
Annual Neighborhood Event Coordinator
Needed now Plan one neighborhood get-together a year. In the past it's been a block party or a cookout, but you're welcome to try something different.
What it involves
- Picking a date, time, and place (usually someone's driveway or a cul-de-sac)
- Planning the food, drinks, and activities
- Letting neighbors know about it
- Working with the board on a small budget
Time
A few hours over the 4 to 6 weeks before the event, plus the day itself. Once a year.
We haven't had one in a while, and it's one of the easiest ways for neighbors to meet each other. We'd like to bring it back.

Common Area Workdays
Needed now Help keep the entrance and shared green spaces looking good. Many hands make this go quickly.
What it involves
- Trimming the large hedges around the common areas
- Spreading mulch
- Letting the board know about problems you spot

What it involves

- Introducing yourself and saying hello

Neighborhood Watch Organizer
Restart the neighborhood watch. Providence Ridge had one years ago, and its sign is still at the entrance.
What it involves
- Serving as the neighborhood's contact and attending the required city meetings
- Building a contact list so neighbors can be reached quickly
- Sharing safety news with neighbors
The old watch ended when no one could attend the city meetings. If you'd like to take this on, the board will help you get started.
