How the Process Works
- Fill out the application. Describe the project and attach a plot plan, drawings or photos, and the materials and colors you plan to use.
- Email it to the board. We can’t review an application until it’s complete, so check the attachments list on the form.
- The ACC reviews it. We may email you with questions.
- You get a written decision. Some approvals come with conditions. Keep the approval with your home records.
- Start work only after you have written approval.
A Few Tips
- Send as much detail as you can up front. It cuts down on back-and-forth.
- Include paint chips, material samples, or your contractor’s plans if you have them.
- Read Article Six of the CC&Rs, which sets out the approval rules, before you apply.
- The plat maps show your lot lines, easements, and setbacks, which you’ll need for the plot plan.
